Hi! In case you visit this site or are subscribed to the feed here, I thought you might like to know that I pretty much do the majority of my blogging over on Donovan’s Cloud Atlas; The Pacific Journal of Donovan Watts.
I invite you to read my journal about the travels of me and my cohorts, The Go! Team. It’s full of thoughts, gibberish and nonsensical whimsy.

how appropriate that iconbuffet drops me an email just now, delivering up a tasty new morsel for us. i discovered icon buffet at the peak of my thoughtStreaming a few months ago. let me pop some of them up here and then see if i can post a few pix that my new assistant ‘sprocket’ took while we were at the beach. sprocket is quite the gear-head and helps me with many tasks while living on the road, running my business and making desired future become reality. more on him later, or i’m sure he’ll speak up as well. sprocket is an xv6700 pocket pc. along with tin-machine (my handy apple powerbook g4), and daisy (the vulva wagon), we comprise ‘The Go! Team‘. We appropriated that name after listening to our collective favorite band, ‘The Go! Team‘. It best represents the mindset and actions that make up my life at this moment and we wear that label with pride.

yesterday, sprocket and i dropped my pop off at LAX airport and then, to avoid the nightmarish pulse of traffic that conjured itself upon our freeway system like a blood clot aching to become one with it’s host, i headed to my old stomping grounds of the south bay. ahhh, high school days. they found me in manhattan beach. it was fun strolling down the lane of memories but also a bit sad for some reason. oh, how i ache to follow my heart and explore these roadways of the western edge.. the great pacific ocean. every town upon the coast that i visit i just love. time to explore. time for seeking spirit: road edition.
i grew up on the coast. so dear to me is the pacific and the stretch of land that eases up her majestic shorelines and green and brown cliffs. be near her i must.
now, how to get the pix off of sprocket and onto tin machine? stand by.. where’s that manual?
cool. sprocket just beamed the pix over bluetooth to tin machine. now it’s up to me to post them.
here is a picture of some tiny shells i found on the sand in redondo beach. aren’t they pretty?

and one more picture to prove i was there. sprocket takes pretty good pictures i think.

Hello. My name is Donovan Watts. I am on a blogging/newsreading hiatus. In an effort to Get Things Done and Get Sites Built, my focus is in dire need of redirection. I can tell you this much.. since I’ve stopped blogging and stopped reading blogs, as well as unsubscribing from most email lists, my time on the computer has dwindled significantly.
This is exactly what I wanted. More time. More time to put into my business. More time to put into my friends and family. More time to get some thinking done.
So there you have it. Time. It’s all about time.

As part of my “get your online act together” campaign, I’ve converted Become the Media into a WordPress site. You may recognize the theme I’m using… it’s my favorite WordPress theme and I’m kinda trying to unify my online offerings based loosely on this theme. Perhaps I’ll succeed at integrating things. We’ll see.
The RSS feed is now a Feedburner feed as well so be sure to update your news reader.

I’ve been working on OPML Editor (The Missing Manual). (This URL will most certainly change.) This started out as a place for me to organize my thoughts on the OPML Editor and experiment with the world of wikis, and is turning into something that I may wish to push on Become the Media.
This site is not meant to compete with any other OPML Editor related sites out there. It’s a wiki and my intention is for this site to coexist, not compete with those sites. As a wiki, it is different in its intention and should be considered an adjunct to any other docs available.
I’ve chosen Instiki as the wiki system. It’s light-weight, easy to install and fun to use. This is my first wiki and I hope you enjoy it. And help me write it.

Coral Reef Report is coming back to life. And what better way to kick-start it than a redesign and a new interview with Tanya Streeter by my good friend and star reporter Sherry Flumerfelt?
Tanya Streeter is a multiple World Record Freediver and a passionate environmental spokesperson. In her short career Tanya has surpassed women’s and even men’s world records on several occasions, making her one of the most accomplished and recognized athletes in her sport. She is also a spokesperson for the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL), and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS). Read the interview..
“It’s in my blood. I was born and raised in the ocean environment. It’s a spiritual thing for me.” – Tanya Streeter
