About

Donovan Watts ProfileUSER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH My name is Donovan Watts and I’m a user experience researcher. My passion is understanding the user experience and researching how people interact with websites, mobile applications, software, and gadgets. This helps me know what people think about the products they use on a daily basis. It is my mission to interpret and translate those findings to my clients. I’ve worked with Microsoft, Yahoo!, eBay/PayPal, Experian, Genentech, Cisco WebEx, Walmart, JCPenney, and other Fortune 500 companies to understand and improve the user experience of their products and services.

MY CREDENTIALS During work hours I’m on the research team at AnswerLab, a user experience research company based in San Francisco, California. Previously I’ve worked for myself and other companies in the tech sector, building websites, managing IT needs, and exploring the inner-workings of the interwebs.

MY BACKGROUND It all started with the educational technology courses I took at the University of Hawaii. It was then that I knew that I’d be involved in creating easy to use experiences for the digital world. Since graduating, I’ve been building websites and focusing on the online user experience, consistently delivering results that put the user’s needs first.

MY PLAY TIME Aside from my passion for the user experience, I spend time with my lovely wife, baby daughter and our French Bulldog Milo the Terrible. I also hula hoop, spend time with friends, go to the theater, cook at home, travel, and never stop learning new things. I was born in Napa, spent over a decade in Hawaii, and I currently live in the awesomely freaky Bay area. Be sure to hit me up on Twitter @donovanwatts or contact me via email.
